Sean Lennon's directorial debut spotlights threeASFOUR design duo

The documentary《threeASFOUR: Full Circle》(threeASFOUR: Full Circle) has released a full trailer, bringing the New York design duo threeASFOUR's more than twenty-five-year collaboration to the camera.The three designers’ works have entered museums around the world and attracted fans such as Bjork and Chloë Sevigny. They still face the problem of how to survive in the fashion industry.

The film is the feature directorial debut of actor and musician Sean Ono Lennon and is co-directed by Brian C. Gonzalez.Sean is the son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono.

Gabi Asfour is from Lebanese and Palestinian backgrounds, Angela Dornhauser is from German and Tajikistan, and Adi Gil is from Israel.Inspired by natural forms, they combine cutting-edge technology with skilled couture craftsmanship to create experimental clothing ready for the streets.War, identity, and hopes for the future all inform this co-creation.

“Are we doing fashion, or are we doing something else?”For this group, clothing also bears the desire to connect different cultures, countries and even species.In the fashion industry dominated by commercial interests, the three still hope to put creativity and cross-cultural cooperation before money and profits, and they also face pressure to compromise.

The documentary also discusses the three designers’ friendship, resilience, and their insistence on peace and creation.Kai Kuehne also stars.

Alex Billington, the author of FirstShowing who introduced the trailer, believes that this is not only a dynamic portrait of fashion artists, but also provides a perspective on observing the changes in the fashion industry over the years.
