Netflix teen drama season 2 begins filming and new cast announced

A Netflix teen drama set in figure skating has entered its second season.Reports show that the crew will start filming on August 24, 2026, and filming is expected to last until December 14.The second season also announced returning actors, new characters and new main scenes. The ice rink story of the first season will be transferred to a more competitive figure skating academy.

The first season of the show was released on Netflix on January 22, 2026, and was subsequently renewed.It is adapted from the best-selling novel of the same name by Jennifer Iacopelli and was developed by Jeff Norton and Shirley Scaro.The first season revolved around Adriana's choices between her family rink, her relationship and her skating career, and the sequel will continue to follow the Russo sisters in their new phase.

The main changes for Season 2 occur at the training location.Adriana and her sisters will leave their family's Russell Rink and attend Voltage Academy.Public presentations describe the academy as a highly competitive training environment where every time athletes take to the ice is tied to national team goals.The series will still put competition, training and character relationships on the same narrative line.
