This play is based on the land changes in rural areas in southern Shandong and spans the period from 1927 to 1947. It takes the unfortunate fate of the landlord's daughter Ning Xiuxiu as the main line and revolves around Ning Xiuxiu, the man digging the ground Feng Dajiao and the young master Fei Wendian of the Fei family.Emotional relationship; the lifelong struggle between Ning Xiuxiu and her father, the big landowner Ning Xuexiang; it shows the difficult process of farmers' survival and development under feudal rule, and their inseparable attachment to the land from generation to generation.
