It tells the story of a half-French, half-Vietnamese communist spy in Saigon in 1975 during the final days of the Vietnam War, and his eventual exile to the United States.
Episode 1
A captain, a party mole, juggling the demands of his South Vietnamese Army boss, the General, and CIA officer Claude, struggles with his conscience when one of his comrades is captured by an officer in his own unit.
As Saigon approaches, the captain must collect a list of evacuees bound for the United States, when he gets a surprising new assignment.
Episode 2
The captain and his fellow Vietnamese refugees try to adjust to life in Los Angeles.The defeated general became suspicious and asked the captain to find a mole he believed had infiltrated their ranks.
As Captain narrows down his target, he reconnects with his former teacher, Professor Hammer, and meets his charming assistant, Ms. Mori.
Episode 3
Stressed by the general's orders to eliminate spies from his ranks, the Captain enlists Bang's help in formulating and executing a plan specifically for Independence Day.
Later, at an upscale lunch, Claude introduced the Captain to the director, who sought the Captain's on-set consultation for his upcoming Hollywood film about the war.
Episode 4
The captain is driving north to consult with a director about a war movie when he encounters an uninvited guest.
On set, Cap's frustrations mount as he deals with the director's erratic ego, moody Hollywood actors, the concerns of Vietnamese extras, and his own emotional response to the film.
Episode 5
After a lengthy hospitalization, the captain finds his life in disarray and attempts to use a windfall to atone for his past sins.
Meanwhile, Lana is working away from her parents, Ms. Mori becomes romantically involved with a familiar face, and the General hatches a plan to reclaim his homeland.
Episode 6
Convinced that the General's plan is doomed to fail, the Captain makes it his mission to track down the General's funds and curry favor with members of Congress.
His desperation grows as he searches for a way to uncover the military operation and achieve his ultimate goal: saving the state.
Episode 7
Before sending them to Vietnam, Claude treated the team to a night in Thailand and revealed some horrifying information to the captain.
Faced with numerous obstacles to his mission, Cap finds himself in a %re-education camp, forced to tell his story... and face the decisions that haunt his past.
