《Outer Range Season 2》Episode 4 Synopsis

Episode 4

In 1886, under the guidance of his father, young Roy learned to bravely look into the eyes of others, and followed his father Levi to the town to visit a prominent figure named J.B.J.B. expressed his appreciation for Roy's father, thinking that he had an extraordinary temperament and seemed to be a wealthy man. However, the real purpose of this trip was to buy new shoes for Roy.

During the transaction process, Levi treated the workers with an extremely arrogant attitude, as if he regarded them as trivial. When Levi is unable to pay for his shoes due to lack of funds, the scene seems like a form of ironic retribution. As prices rose, Roy was forced to linger in the store until his father raised enough funds.

Meanwhile, Joey and Shooting Star are discussing Michael Jackson's rise to fame. However, Meteor's health was deteriorating and she had been suffering from coughing up blood for a long time.Although she strives to maintain a strong image for the tribe, Joey is acutely aware of her weakness and persuades her to be honest about her condition. In fact, Meteor has cancer, but she still hopes to train Joey to become the new negotiator of the tribe. However, Joy has other plans in mind and longs to return to her own time.

When Meteor is dying, Joey is faced with a difficult decision: should he stay with Meteor, or should he leave and pursue his way home? The hostility between the indigenous residents and the settlers is increasing day by day, and Joey and his family left a precious photo in the camp.Shooting Star laments that Joey has grown into a different person now, and when she finally returns to her own time, Martha will be able to detect this change.

However, an unexpected incident in the camp brought a huge crisis to the indigenous residents.A group of white men (who were revealed earlier in the episode to be members of the Sheldon Point tribe) kidnapped Flowers, the mother of a child who was shot to death in the wilderness.Joey resolutely decided to come forward, vowing to bring the flowers back, and quickly launched a rescue operation.By virtue of her position as Sheriff, she was given a fast horse and had her guns ready before setting off.

When Joy arrived at the cabin, she witnessed the flowers struggling to resist.Faced with the thugs who might rape the flowers, Joey did not hesitate to shoot and kill them one by one. However, when shooting the last person, she was unfortunately shot and injured in the leg.Joey grabbed Hua's hand tightly, and the two fled the scene with difficulty.

Levi, on the other hand, finally managed to get enough money for the shoes, and he returned to the ranch to tell Roy about the experience. He warned Roy to learn to adapt to the discomfort of new shoes and to endure the pain. However, in order to pay this expensive fee, they had to sacrifice their only cow, Daisy, which was supposed to be their reliance through the cold winter.Witnessing all this, Roy's mother Alice angrily picked up a gun and tried to find another solution.

At this moment, the thug who escaped from Joey appeared at Levi's ranch.Faced with this sudden crisis, Levi saw an opportunity to contribute to his family's future. He resolutely decided to seize this opportunity, took Roy and a gun, and embarked on a journey to hunt down Joey.

At this time, Joey and Huahua have returned to the camp... but the crisis has not been resolved.Joey's injuries were serious, and she could only hide in the woods to fight for a chance of survival.Meteor is shocked to discover her condition and attempts to rescue her.Deep in the woods, Joey accidentally discovered a seriously injured bison with two arrows stuck in its body.Joey took this as a mysterious signal and strengthened his belief in survival.

However, what she didn't know was that Levi and Roy were secretly hunting her.Levi ordered Roy to flank Joey and “shoot everything that moved”, while he was responsible for the frontal attack.Joey could only reluctantly make a simple splint for his injured leg, but was eventually found by Roy under a tree.Faced with Levi's approach, Joey tried to resolve the crisis with words, but all efforts were in vain.Levi coldly ordered Roy to shoot her...and Roy pulled the trigger in struggle and fear.He aimed at Levi's chest and fired.

With his father dead, Roy runs away in shame, while the cowboys storm the Aboriginal camp. However, none of them were there. They were literally on top of a mountain, overlooking everything. They ambush Farber and the others, and we cut back to Joey and Roy as a big fight is about to break out.A hole in the ground suddenly appeared in front of them, and both Roy and Joey jumped into it.She loses Roy, who continues to fall, and Joey finds himself in the present time and space.
