Anthony Hopkins and Matthew Goode star in the new film《Freud's Last Session》directed by Matthew Brown (《The Man Who Knows No Boundaries》), written by Mark St. Germain, and adapted from Harvard University's Dr. AlMan Nigli's best-selling book - God's Questions -.Hopkins plays Sigmund Freud, an Austrian psychiatrist, psychologist, and founder of the school of psychoanalysis. On the eve of World War II, when his life is about to come to an end, he invites the famous British writer C.S.·Lewis (Goody) came to the house as a guest.
The two began to research and discuss a book recently published by Freud. The more they chatted, the more speculative they became, and they exchanged their respective values on the existence of God, love, sex and the meaning of life.However, it coincided with the outbreak of World War II. Dr. Freud, who was Jewish, could no longer bear the double blow of cancer and the loss of relatives and soon died of illness.This conversation also became the last valuable legacy Freud left to the world.
