Philomena Kanker sat in the cinema this time. This serious questioner, played by Diane Morgan, will ask where movies come from, what they have experienced, and where they are going in three episodes of the pseudo-documentary Cunk on Cinema.Netflix has announced that it will be launched on November 15, and a trailer has been released; the program will also be broadcast by the BBC.

After Cunk on Earth, Morgan collaborated again with Black Mirror creator Charlie Brooker to turn Cunk's attention to more than a hundred years of film history. This time the content starts from the invention of the camera, through the New Wave movies of the 1960s, to computer-generated images, and then talks about the changes that may occur in the future after artificial intelligence rapidly enters the film industry.
The official synopsis retains Kanker's earnestness and absurdity: She'll sit on a bumpy seat, eat stale popcorn, and try to figure out where the movie comes from, why it's here, what it wants, and why it can't tell us in person.
To answer these questions, the program invited 23 guests.Directors, actors, photographers, composers, film critics, curators and scholars all have to face her questions.

Guests included Michael Bay and Benedict Cumberbatch.Bay is known for his action and science fiction films, and his representative works include the Transformers series, Bad Boys, The Rock and Armageddon.Cumberbatch is familiar to audiences for his roles as Sherlock Holmes in Sherlock and Doctor Strange in Marvel movies, and has also appeared in The Power of the Dog and The Imitation Game.

Pearl of the University of Manchester is engaged in 20th century American literature, English and American studies.Jim Al-Khalili, a theoretical physicist and popular science communicator who had participated in Cunk on Life, and Ashley Jackson, who had participated in Cunk on Life, also sat in front of Cunk again.
