Spanish crime drama Jotadé begins filming with four episodes in total

 Netflix Spain announced on October 26 that the four-episode crime thriller miniseries Jotadé has started filming and has released the first batch of stills.Isaac Díaz plays the eponymous protagonist, and Aura Garrido, José Coronado and Jaime Llorente co-star.

Hotard is a police officer who has a hard time keeping a low profile: he is reckless and unconventional, but he is also sharp, upright, and very loyal to his colleagues and his Roma community.A brutal case he took over had a dangerous criminal network behind it.The investigation will force a man who has never learned to curb his edge to take on a near-impossible task.

The story is adapted from the best-selling novel of the same name by Santiago Díaz.The character first appeared in the author's Indira Ramos trilogy and later had a standalone series.The first volume - Hotard - will be published by Alfaguara in March 2025, and the second volume - The Master - (El amo) will be released in March 2026.This episode uses the content of the first book.

Garrido, who has starred in The Ministry of Time and The Innocent, plays Lucia; Coronado plays Hilario Garza; Lorente plays Tony Garza.The latter is familiar to the audience for Denver in Money Heist, and has also appeared in Elite. In 2024, he also starred in the Netflix crime miniseries Iron Reign.

Coronado has recently been involved in a series of Netflix Spanish projects, including The Final Problem in September and the conspiracy thriller The Truthers in July.He will also collaborate with Garrido on the drama version of Nine Queens, with whom he has previously shared the screen in the adaptation of Harlan Coben's novel.

The rest of the cast includes Entrevías actor Maria Denati, Truth Seekers actor Alberto Olmo, as well as Melania Cruz, Carmen Aviles, One Hundred Years of Solitude (One Hundred Years of Solitude) Moreno Borja, Rafaela Leon, Antonio Zafra.Also in the cast is Álvaro Rico, who has starred in Schoolboy and The Gardener.《The Asunta Case》(53 Sundays) and 《(53 Sundays) actor Javier Gutierrez will make a special appearance.

Behind the scenes is produced by MOD Producciones, with Fernando Bovaila serving as producer and Guillem Vidal-Falk as executive producer.MOD is also the production company behind The Last Question, an adaptation of Arturo Pérez-Revitt's novel.The script is written by Isa Sanchez and Daniel Corpaz, the former of whom has participated in "The Gardener"; director Daniel Calpasoro has previously directed "Bank Under Siege" (Bank Under Siege) for Netflix and "Salvador" starring Luis Tosar.

Netflix has not yet announced a broadcast window.What's on Netflix uses the production cycle from May 2025 to September 2026 as a reference, and it is speculated that Hotard may meet the audience in the second half of 2027; this time is still a media estimate.
