Toma Ikuta passed the audition and won his first animation voice role

Percent has been waiting, thinking: Who will find me.Disney discovered me.“On October 28, Toma Ikuta announced his first challenge to dub animation at a Halloween event in Shibuya, Tokyo. He will provide the Japanese voice for the three-eyed cat Biff Roger Kramczak in the new Disney film Billie and the Magic Begins (Hexed). The film will be released in Japan on December 4.

Meiyu Hata, who provided the Japanese dubbing for the heroine Billie, also came to the scene. There was a special arrangement for this appearance: Meiyu Hata performed magic on the stage first, and Toma Ikuta suddenly appeared from the cauldron placed among the flowers.Wearing cat ears and a green suit, he introduced himself to the audience as Biff and said he was happy to be attending the event right in the heart of Shibuya.

Although he has been acting for many years, this is still the first time for Toma Ikuta to work in dubbing. He laughed and said that he had been waiting for such an invitation, and this opportunity was won through an audition.

”I have auditioned many times since I was a teenager, but I still get nervous.% He recalled that this tension also meant new excitement and new encounters, and the process made him very happy. After he actually started acting, he also consciously adjusted the way he used his voice and tried methods that he would not usually use when acting in front of the camera.

Biff is a fluffy, three-eyed cat who supports the heroine, Billie. This film sets the heroine of a Disney feature-length animation as a modern high school student for the first time: Billie has an unconventional personality and is not very social at school; when she discovers that she has magical powers, she is taken into another world and begins an adventure.

When talking about the film, Toma Ikuta feels that Disney animations will always reflect their respective eras. This time Billie is a modern girl, reflecting the real troubles faced by students today, and the audience will easily resonate with her.

He also mentioned that the work is in a sense a family story, and he hopes everyone can experience it with their families.
