At the end of 999 AD, Mahiro (Yuriko Yoshitaka) gave birth to the child of Fujiwara Michizhang (Emoto Yu).Nobutaka (Sasaki Kuranosuke) named the child Kenko and began to raise it as his own child as agreed.
On the other hand, for the sake of the peace of the country, Fujiwara Michinaga planned to make his daughter Akiko (Mikami Ai) the middle palace, and Tadako (Takahata Mitsuki) the queen, that is, "one emperor and two empresses".
