In 2003, a mining town in Ningxia was facing relocation. A burned female corpse appeared in front of the police station. The death was very similar to a vicious and unsolved case that occurred in the local area 10 years ago. Chu Zhiqiang (played by Wang Jingchun), a veteran criminal policeman who was about to retire, andZhang Tao (played by Wu Xiaoliang), who was demoted to the criminal investigation team of the mining area due to work errors, became a colleague and worked together to solve the case.
