The show is the second spin-off of The Good Wife. The story is based on the characters from The Good Wife and The Good Fight.

Wendell Pierce (《The Wire》) plays Wagner, a police inspector in the New York Police Department who has great control over situations.Experienced and charismatic, Wagner is a well-respected member of the police force.

Carra Patterson (The Young, the Dangerous, and the Ugly) plays Kaya Blanke, a stoic, moral New York police officer who is used to being ignored by her superiors.

Preston has played Elsbeth Tascioni since the first season of The Good Wife, appearing in a total of 14 episodes.She later played the character in five episodes of the spin-off series The Good Fight.
