In 2002, Lao Mai received a call from Xu Li. Xu Li cried and begged Brother Lao Mai to stop investigating because someone was going to her home. Lao Mai put down the phone and rushed to Xu Li's home with Qin Feng and Hu Xiaoyue.When they arrived, they found many police officers at the door of the apartment. After questioning, they learned that Xu Li had committed suicide by cutting her wrists.
