Jack Adelstein (Ansel Elgort)) gradually realizes that his life and the lives of those around him are in terrible danger.

The officially announced cast includes Ansel Elgort, Ken Watanabe, Rinko Kikuchi, Rachel Keller, Sho Kasamatsu, Ayumu Ito, as well as new regular cast members Yosuke Kubotsuka and Miki Maya.

The remaining new cast members announced are Suzuki Takayuki, Takeya Aik, Park Soo-hee, and Hyun-ri.

Yosuke Kubotsuka plays Naoki Hayama, a more dangerous criminal.

Miki Maya plays Shoko Nagata, a police detective at the Japanese National Police Agency who wants to take a tougher stance on Yakuza after her arrival compared to the balanced approach of Hiroto Katagiri (played by Ken Watanabe).

Park Soo-hee (《Pinball Game》) plays Shingo, Emi's (Rinko Kikuchi) lover and former colleague.He is a single parent with a young son and is now the editor of a prominent Tokyo weekly.As excellent journalists, he and Emi share a passion for the work.But as the season progresses and their work and home lives collide, Shingo and Emi are forced to make tough choices about what they value most in life.
