《The World of the Married》also known as 《부부의 세계》 in Korean and English name The World of the Married, is a Korean marital psychological drama broadcast by JTBC in 2020.The series is adapted from the British TV series《Doctor Foster》, directed by Mo Wan-il, written by Joo Hyun, and starring Kim Ae-ae, Park Hae-joon, and Han So-hee.

Ji Shanyu, a family medicine doctor, has a decent job, a seemingly happy family and his son Li Junying in Gaoshan.Her husband, Li Taiwu, runs an entertainment company and has long been supported by her.An accidental discovery of red hair made Shan Yu begin to suspect that there was an unknown betrayal hidden in her marriage; the closer she got to the truth, the more she discovered that familiar people and relationships around her were involved in lies.

The relationship between Li Taiwu and the young woman Lu Duojing pushed Ji Shanyu, Li Taiwu, their son Junying and the two families into a whirlpool of continuous tearing.Shan Yu is no longer just the injured party, she tries to regain control of her life in her own way; divorce, family reorganization, parent-child relationships and old grudges also cost everyone an unavoidable price.
