《A Soldier’s Story》Episode plot
The abandoned son Gou Sheng (played by Jiang Long) was adopted since he was a child. In order to make money and marry a wife, he served as a soldier for his idiot brother Wang Mao.In the process of joining the army, Gou Sheng was framed by Yang San (played by Jiang Yi), his love rival from the same village. He also experienced many bizarre and thrilling encounters, and met like-minded friends such as Song Yutao (played by Shi Ce) along the way.After experiencing the baptism of war, Gou Sheng deeply realized that without a country, there would be no small family. He transformed from a farmer into a true New Fourth Army soldier, completing his life transformation.The play is adapted from the movie《I'm Not Wang Mao》.
