In 2002, An Yan, who had just graduated, was assigned to teach at Heping Middle School in Changzhi County.Born in a city, she had difficulty adapting to the teaching environment and concepts of rural schools at first.But as her interactions with students and home visits deepened, An Yan gradually realized the importance of rural education and felt the value of being needed.Inspired by the old principal Yu Tian and the current principal Fu Shengzhi, she understood and passed on the educational concepts of "shou" and "incubate", and grew into an excellent teacher known far and wide.In 2012, An Yan served as the vice principal in charge of logistics at Heping Middle School, promoting the implementation of “Nutritious Lunch”.In 2016, An Yan was appointed as the principal of the relocated school for poverty alleviation.Faced with a weak teaching foundation and a complex student situation, An Yan led a group of outstanding rural teachers to solve the problems one by one and create a high-quality learning environment for the children.Rural teachers represented by An Yan have been working hard to help batches of students from mountain villages move towards a broader world.
