《The Hunchback, Soul of Paris》(The Hunchback, Soul of Paris) takes Quasimodo to 1830

 Vincent Cassel plays Quasimodo, who enters a city torn apart by cholera and revolution.Netflix has announced the first official trailer for the French live-action film The Hunchback, Soul of Paris, which will be released globally on November 27.

The story is set in Paris in 1830.Regarding this hunchbacked stonemason, someone in the trailer said: "Only he seems to be able to resist this disease."%As a result, he was regarded as the target of medical experiments and was hunted by the police.

At the same time, he fell in love with a dancer.In an effort to free her, the Stonemason ventures across a city in turmoil, drawn into political conflict and an elusive love.The film also links the stonecutter's experiences with the birth of Hugo's legendary characters.

Quasimodo comes from Victor Hugo's 1831 book The Hunchback of Notre-Dame.The novel has been adapted into numerous film and television versions, including the 1996 Disney animation The Hunchback of Notre Dame.The new film’s French title is Quasimodo, l’âme de Paris.

In addition to Cassel, the cast includes Benjamin Voisin, Daphne Patakia, Karim Leclu, Noemi Lofsky, and Eugenie Richet as Cosette.Directed by Jean-François Richet, written by Eric Besner and Edgar Marie, and produced by Clément Miseret and Mathieu Walter.
